As some of you may know from my time on WordPress, I write about communication and social media offer free information that may help with communications effort. I read and write about Social media solutions and collaboration on a regular basis.
But, today I have recently returned from Walter Reed and Ft. Belvoir (yesterday) working in collaboration with the Wounded Warrior Transition Units (WTUs). We are, with others, trying to help our service members and families. There some very compelling stories and needs out there. I figure that as a veteran of the USAF myself, I can do more. And, I would like to lead the charge that each of us can collectively try to make a difference, one step at a time.
Additionally, in advance of this blog post, I had prevously reached out to Steve, one of the founders of GovLoop and even asked him about the idea, and he agreed that theirs was also was a great platform to share the information, to help make a difference.
So, without any further delay….drum roll please…
ALL can make a difference this week and during the Memorial Day weekend to help Wounded Service Members & thier families. Let me know what you all think about this and I hope one or two will reach out and make a difference. Thanks! Here’s how:

a new service definitely has to offer something special. DailyRT bills itself as a straightforward tweet aggregator, but in addition to tracking retweets in real-time, dailyRT also offers a number of advanced search functions that none of its competitors currently offer.
Like many of its competitors, including Tweetmeme, which is set to launch some interesting new features itself later today, dailyRT aggregates retweets and displays them in a real-time feed on its homepage. DailyRT’s advanced search features, however, make this new service stand out from the crowd.
